Virtual PC 2007 SP1 was released and you can download it here. It is basically just bug fixes and updates, but it does add support for Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3 virtual machines. Make sure that when you install this update, you turn off all virtual machines (not in a saved state) to make sure the upgrade goes smoothly.

if you use Windows XP or Windows Vista under VPC, remember this- don’t use the OS CD that came with your computer to install it. or you will get this:

just to let you know- when you are using a real cd with virtual pc make sure you select use physical drive D: so VPC knows to use the real cd and not the virtual cd drive

for this month, i will start talking about one of my favorite programs of all times – virtual pc! virtual pc is a program that allows you to run a seperate OS (operating system ex. windows xp) under your current os without effecting any of your files. for example say computer A is the host (the computer that has vpc (virtual pc) on it) and computer B is the “virtual computer”. if you install a game on computer B it will NOT effect computer A or vice versa. so this month i will be demotrating on how to use this program. you can download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/virtualpc
