I reviewed this application a year ago and it’s changed a lot since. The interface has been changed to blend more into Windows 7 which you will see in the screen shots below.
Part 1 – Installation
The installer is very user-friendly and doesn’t force you to install all the applications.
– It’s nice that you can select what you want and don’t want to install
– The installation took a little longer then I expected, but I have slow internet
– After about 30 minutes it’s done.
– And you can sign up for a Live ID if you haven’t already
– Windows Live Mail is my second favorite email app next to Outlook
– Photo Gallery isn’t really need in Vista but it’s nice to have in XP
– Windows Live Writer is my favorite blogging application. Highly recommended
– Even though I’m not a fan of toolbars, this one is actually quite nice.
Overall rating: 4 out of 5
Installer: 4.5 out of 5
Mail: 5 out of 5
Photo Gallery: 4 out of 5
Writer: 5 out of 5
Toolbar: 3.5 out of 5
